We are now looking for an experienced and structured project engineer who wants to work on complex infrastructure projects with a focus on technical measures and project support. The role involves working closely with project managers and the project organization in larger projects where structure, documentation, and follow-up are crucial for progress.

The assignment is suitable for you who are self-driven, analytical, and have experience from project organizations in infrastructure, construction, civil engineering, or similar technical project environments.

The position is based in Malmö. There is some possibility for remote work by agreement, but the job primarily requires physical presence at the client's office.

The work also involves occasional travel to project sites and other offices in Sweden.

About the role

As a project engineer, you act as a central support resource in the project organization. You work closely with project managers and other key personnel to ensure that the project is driven in a structured, efficient manner and according to established plans.

The work includes both administrative and analytical tasks related to project management.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will among other things:

• Manage the ongoing administration, routines, and documentation of the project
• Ensure order in the project's document management system
• Plan and coordinate meetings, book resources, and take meeting minutes
• Work with the project's timelines, risk management, and follow-up
• Support the project manager in financial follow-up, forecasts, and invoicing
• Work with project follow-up and reporting (monthly or quarterly reports)
• Compile delivery plans and ensure that handover processes are followed
• Review and follow up on deliveries from consultants and contractors
• Coordinate the project's timelines among different stakeholders
• Manage communication and follow-up related to external stakeholders
• Support project managers and sub-project managers in project planning and coordination

The role requires good structure, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in project environments.

Workplace and working methods

Location: Malmö

Working hours: Full-time

Remote work: possible up to about 40% by agreement

Travel: may occur in the position, approximately 0–2 times per month

Requirements

To be considered for the role, you must meet the following requirements:

• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Driver's license B
• At least 120 higher education credits or equivalent work experience
• At least 12 months of experience working in forecasting or financial systems for projects (e.g., C7 or similar)
• At least 2 years of documented experience working in a project organization
• Experience working independently in structured project environments
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience in project administration, project planning, or project support

It is a merit if you also have:

• Experience from infrastructure projects or civil engineering projects
• Experience with projects related to noise measures or similar environmental projects
• Experience from both design and production phases in projects
• Experience with project management systems and document management systems
• Experience in financial follow-up and forecasting work in projects
• Experience coordinating between multiple consultants or contractors
• Experience working in larger project organizations
